Manage mobile phone text message (SMS) commands

 

This section describes how to setup a group of SMS commands to perform data queries via mobile phone text message.

1.        You need to setup a hardware device called GSM Modem on your Excel Server machine.

2.        Enable the SMS function in Management Console.

3.        In Excel Server client, select the menu entry “Template” - “Manage SMS command”.

4.        Click the button “New”.

5.        Setup SMS commands for data queries.

6.        Send text messages according to the SMS commands to the mobile phone number of the GSM modem to get the query result.
